The Daisy Classroom

Our Daisy classroom cares for our older 1 year olds, about 18 – 24 month olds. This room follows the same meal and nap schedule as our older classrooms. A main focus in the Daisy class is to help each child start to gain independence and begin to learn to follow a schedule. The Daisies also concentrate on the development of verbal and social-emotional skills.

Hi! My name is Lexi. I am currently studying Early Childhood Education at DMACC and have a strong passion for supporting young children as they grow and learn. I love creating fun, engaging activities that help children develop socially, emotionally, and academically. Watching children build confidence and discover new skills is one of my favorite parts of working in early childhood education.

In my free time I enjoy spending time with family and friends, listening to music, being creative, and relaxing with my pets. I love animals and enjoy the fun and comfort they bring to everyday life.

One of my favorite things about working with children is their curiosity and how every day brings something new and exciting. Kids remind us to laugh, explore, and enjoy the little moments.

Hi, my name is Chloe and I work primarily in toddlers.  I’ve been working at Play & Learn since March of 2025.  What I love most about working with kids is watching them grow and develop new skills, such as learning how to walk and learning new words.  I love to do activities with them that not only help them learn, but also have fun! During my free time I like to shop, do arts and crafts, and spend time with my husband.  I also have an American Girl Doll collection that I enjoy!

I love working with kids because I feel the bonds that are created with the children are very special and I enjoy seeing them grow and develop.
