The DaffodiL Classroom
Our Daffodil classroom is designed for crawlers and early walkers. This room is made up of children approximately 10 months to 17 months old. The Daffodil room is meant to be a transition from our less structured Buttercup class to the more structured classes the child will join as they grow. The Daffodil room eats their lunch and snacks at the same time each day, and they have one designated nap time for all the children in the class. Learning how to be part of a group and the exploration of themselves, others, and the environment are important skills we emphasize in this room.

Meet the Daffodil teachers
Jennifer O.
lead teacher
Jen has been working at Play & Learn since August 2014. Jen has been the Daffodil lead teacher since April 2019. While at Play & Learn, Jen has held the roles of assistant teacher, cook, and lead teacher in Buttercups. Her favorite part about working with kids is the relationship she is able to make with each child. She also loves being able to watch them grow and get smarter!

Connie has been a part of the Play & Learn team since April 2021. She loves working with the young toddlers because she enjoys loving on them. Connie also enjoy seeing the toddlers hit all their milestones.

LACEY W.
ASSISTANT TEACHER/SUPERVISOR
Lacey has worked at Play & Learn since 2013. She has been an assistant teacher, lead teacher in infants and toddler classrooms and has held both the Assistant Director and the Director positions here at Play and Learn. Lacey is a NAC-certified Early Childhood Program Administrator and holds a certificate in Early Childhood Education from DMACC. Lacey stepped down from her role as Director in August of 2020 so she could attend school full time. She continues to work part time as a site supervisor and loves that she still gets to come in and spend time with all of the Play and Learn children!

JORDAN T.
ASSISTANT TEACHER
Jordan has been apart of the Play & Learn team since October 2021. She love working with kids and has experience of working with kids before. In her free time, she enjoys making TikToks. Jordan especially loves working with Toddlers because they are so cute and fun to be around.
